The issue of blame starts with you

So, this is a common feedback from many I've heard so far.

"Pas you always like to blame your teammates and never yourself!"

And why not? Of course, that isn't to say I'm not at fault from time to time (lost count of how many times I was the last man and I got tackled, so on and so forth) but I believe the majority of the fault doesn't lie solely with me alone.

To start with this I'll illustrate my playing style; it is more of a target-man style, or rather this is my preferred style (I have two, three other modes of play) that I would use, especially when I start to get slightly drowsy after prolonged play. Which means, unless circumstances dictate otherwise I'll attempt to make the opponents scramble back into their half, a scathing run or two, with ball at feet, attack their goal. Give me a pass and I try a DS. Give me the ball and I'll try for solo.

Hence also the accusation that I'm a soloist.

But have you thought about my circumstances before accusing me as such?

Example: Some time back, I was forced to field a 2 advance versus 3 advance match. When play started it became apparent that the two other non-advanced were unsure of how to go for DS without tumbling left and right, and my remaining advance buddy has shooting skills akin to a monkey with a rifle and his firing hand strapped to the back, whereas the opponent can shoot. In this case, I'm really the only firing option left.

That is one example of a scenario where I'll solo. IF the rest of the guys are astute enough, they would realise that they should allow me to go for the DS, and when they control the ball they should attempt to free me up for DS.

Sadly it wasn't the case, that match was inevitably lost even though I scored two.

So, in this case, I ask, is it my fault that I'm a soloist? Most advanced forwards who are worth their salt would know the answer to this (yes, even you, eye-bra-hi-moh-witch, and that's to you too Smokie). In fact, there're guys who would solo even if they have a better attacking option!
Why am I the one being singled out for this then?

That aside, let's talk about defence then. I admit, when I play the target-man style I'll sometimes accidentally leave the defence short of one, but let me ask you guys (especially you who might still be blaming me):

Who is the fucking asshole who had to attempt to guard longshots for you? Who's the guy who has to double up as side-back by blocking crosses in to prevent head-monsters (read: ST) like D.Drogba from shooting? Who is the nation's top tackling forward, because you as a midfielder/defender can't defend your goal for FUCK?

And where were you when I'm doing all that? PCCing?

Fuckin' morons.
